What's clear: US coalition launched airstrikes in Deir ez-Zor today. Everything else is unknown at the moment.
US official, on whether Deir ez-Zor incident could have been the result of a Russian - not US - strike: "I don't think that's the case."
Expect a statement from US CENTCOM within the next half hour on events in Deir ez-Zor. Seems they are taking this quite seriously.
