Iraq / Syria Regional War Report ( January 7 , 2015 ) - In Iraq , ISIS seems to be losing ground based upon the combined effect of Coalition forces , the Iraq Army Forces and the Peshmerga forces in Kurdish territory , while in Syria the battlefront remains a quagmire. Regarding the Kurds , they understand the real battle may begin after ISIS leaves.
