Fukushima updates October 27 , 2013 - As radiation contamination increases in Japan and spread elsewhere , while the ever increasingly fragile state of the Fukushima plant becomes more plain each day - Tepco is setting up to take on the delicate and technically difficult task of removing fuel rods from the spent fuel pool of Reactor 4 ( which is a task that has never been attempted before ) - this task will allegedly run from November 10, 2013 through December 2014 ....no one knows what the state of the fuel rods might be and how many might be damaged , bent or twisted - what we do know if Tepco blows this , the planet will be in jeopardy for 1000s of years !

Groundwater reached the surface of the ground on the seaside of reactor2

The groundwater level reached the ground surface on the seaside of reactor2 and 3 after the heavy rain of 10/20/2013, according to Tepco’ data.
To stop the contaminated groundwater flowing to the sea, Tepco is building the impervious wall on the seaside of reactor2 and 3 but it is retaining the groundwater. The groundwater level is rising.
In one of the observation holes in the area, the groundwater level reached above 4m from the sea level, which means it went over the ground.
Tepco’s spokesman announced “the site” didn’t report the groundwater came up on the ground at least.

In the press conference of 10/25/2013, Tepco’s spokesman announced the reactor4 fuel removal will continue until December of 2014.
M7.1 hit Fukushima plant on 10/26/2013. It is not known if the removal system can resist the quakes and Tsunami during the operation.

Cs-134/137 density in marine soil of offshore Fukushima spiked up this September / Over 10 times much

Cesium-134/137 density in dry marine soil spiked up this September at 4 sampling locations offshore Fukushima.
The readings increased to be over 10 times much as last analysis in August. The leaked radioactive material might have accumulated on the bottom of the sea.
