I really hate to be negative... but this is positively revolting. Disgusting. Indescribably offensive.

In the Land of the Free recently, a California couple had their child kidnapped by the state. At gunpoint.

It all started in mid-April when Anna and Alex Nikolayev took their 5-month old son Sammy to the hospital in Sacramento to be treated for flu symptoms.

The parents didn’t particularly care for the treatment that their son was receiving. Doctors were pumping him full of antibiotics and soon began talking about performing surgery.

Anna and Alex argued with the doctors and said that they were going to get a second opinion; they took the baby and went to another hospital where another physician deemed it perfectly safe for the child to return home with his parents without the need for surgery.

The next day, with the family resting comfortably at home, the police showed up with Child Protective Services.

Alex, the father, went outside to talk to them where he was thrown to the ground by police. Officers then relieved him of his house keys and proceeded to let themselves into the house with hands on their pistols.

Then, still with their hands on their pistols, they told the mother “I’m going to grab your baby, and don’t resist and don’t fight me…”

The child was then ripped from his mother’s arms and placed into state custody, where he remained for a week.

Yesterday, a Sacramento County judge ordered that Sammy be transferred to a hospital in Palo Alto (120 miles away), and that his parents finally be given unfettered access to their son... under the condition that the State of California’s Child Protective Services continue to monitor the ‘situation’.

Guns. Cops. Government bureaucrats. Courts. Kidnapping. A dysfunctional medical care system.

This is what it means to be in the Land of the Free... where collecting rainwater, consuming raw milk, or seeking a second opinion on your child’s medical care is now criminalized.

When you don’t even have the basic right to make decisions about your own child... and when your own child can be forced from you at gunpoint in your own home that was entered illegally... you know that freedom has officially hit the waste bin of history.

Perhaps the greatest irony is that the parents are originally from Russia... but they had to come to the United States to find the Soviet Union.

Oregon Teachers Traumatized by Unannounced Shooter Drill

Panic erupted on Friday at Pine Eagle Charter school in rural Oregon when two masked men carrying handguns burst into a teachers’ lounge and opened fire.

After the initial chaos, the terrified teachers realized the guns were firing blanks and that they were the subject of an unannounced shooter drill.

The little school in Halfway, Oregon was having an in-service day, so the children were at home at the time of the drill. The terrifying action has drawn criticism from many but Principal Cammie DeCastro has defended it, saying, ”For us not to know how we were going to respond is leaving us open”.

Principal Cammie DeCastro said it became clear very quickly just how many of the school’s 15 teachers would have survived. The answer: “Not many,” she said.

Elementary teacher Morgan Gover, 31, said only two teachers would have lived to tell the tale. She admitted being scared, and also acknowledged she would have been among the casualties, having taken several fake direct hits from the shooters.

“I’ll tell you, the whole situation was horrible,” she said. “I got a couple in the front and a couple in the back.”

The surprised staff had received training from the Union County Sheriff’s Office on active shooter scenarios. They had been told they had some options, such as not rushing out of their classrooms when gunfire erupted, and locking and barricading their doors.

They weren’t expecting a drill like this, and they were caught by surprise when the two men entered and began firing.

“There was some commotion,” DeCastro said.

The goal of the drill was to learn how people would react, so better emergency plans could be made, she said. (source)

In light of the fear-mongering by the mainstream media after the Sandy Hook school shooting last December, some people feel that this “drill” increases fearfulness.

The school administration plans to take what they’ve learned from the drill to better prepare.

The district’s Safety Committee and the School Board now will critically evaluate policies and procedures and decide what to do next, said DeCastro.

Armed teachers is one possible outcome, she said. Or the district may get armed and trained volunteers from the community to watch over the school in shifts, she said. Tougher doors and better locks are other options.

Had one of the teachers in that lounge already taken the time to prepare, the unannounced drill could have had tragic results.

Citizen Arrested at Suspicionless Checkpoint for Not Obeying Petty Commands

In Georgia, a citizen was arrested last month at an unconstitutional checkpoint for refusing to obey cops demanding he fully roll down his car window. The man was arrested for “obstructing justice,” in other words for not completely submitting to domination and submission procedures the state now requires as it wantonly violates the Fourth Amendment.

"I think in this instance the guy didn’t want to let the window down, didn’t want to talk to the officer and didn’t want to give him the information. So when you don’t give the information you can be charged with obstruction on a traffic stop," Lt. Amelio Lamkin of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office toldWJBF in Augusta, Georgia.

The TV station instructed citizens to obey all orders given by cops violating the Constitution. “If you come to a [Fourth Amendment violating] road block, police say the best thing to do is to roll down your window all the way, put both of your hands on the steering wheel, and if you have to look inside of your glove box, make sure you let the officer know that before you do so,” Mike Miller advised.

The victim in this case, James Eades of Augusta, said suspicionless roadblocks are about revenue generation. "It’s obviously to cite and arrest as many people as possible, and to raise as much revenue as possible," he said.

The state’s men (and a couple women) in black, otherwise known as the Supreme Court, have ruled that suspicionless revenue-generating roadblocks are not unconstitutional. In the case of Michigan v. Sitz (496 U.S. 444), the Supremes reviewed a decision handed down by the Michigan Supreme Court ruling that drunk driving roadblocks are unconstitutional. In a 6-3 decision, the handpicked Supremes reversed the Michigan court ruling and held that roadblocks are constitutionally permissible.

The “Highest Court in the Land” decided there is something called a "DUI Exception" to the Fourth Amendment. It allows cops to ignore probable cause – for the good of the community and lobbyists at MADD.

Back in the day, the Jeffersonians knew that if the federal government ever became the final arbiter of the law, tyranny would follow in due course.

“The so-called system of checks and balances is a farce and a fraud,” writes Thomas J. DiLorenzo, “the reality is that all three branches of the federal government work together to conspire against the taxpayers for the benefit of the state and all of its appendages.”

Marshall DeRosa was spot-on when he wrote that the Supreme Court is "a facilitator of the national ruling class’s hegemony over the constitutional rights of the States." The Supreme Court, however, also serves as an enabler for state and local governments when they want to engage in shakedowns and scams designed to fleece the American people and enlarge a privatized prison-industrial complex.

Thankfully, more Americans than ever are now aware that government is a leech on the public. James Eades of Augusta pointed this out in the news video above and, remarkably, the local news station didn’t edit his comment pointing out that the purpose of unconstitutional and suspicionless checkpoints is to generate revenue for government, not public safety, as the police claim.

Demonization of Second Amendment accelerates

A mock news report produced by the Department of Homeland Security depicts American gun owners as terrorists in another example of how the federal agency is trying to demonize the Second Amendment while itself stockpiling ammunition.

The report depicts the arrest of “an extremist group reportedly planning a series of terrorist attacks on U.S. cities.”

Dramatic footage shows police conducting a mock raid of a house and yelling at reporters to get back while the news reporter relates how the men were arrested on charges of “illegal possession of firearms.”

Similar to previous DHS characterizations of likely terrorists, the men are played by two Caucasians in their 40′s.

The video was grabbed from the DHS.gov website and appears in a file along with other documents from a HSEEP training program run in coordination with FEMA in the interests of “national preparedness.”

As we have previously documented, the federal agency’s insistence on portraying the vast majority of terrorists in its training videos as white middle class Americans has prompted charges that the DHS is attempting to demonize conservatives and big government adversaries.

However, the portrayal of gun owners as terrorists is sure to stoke even more rancor amongst those who are concerned that the DHS is being prepared to aid in overseeing the Obama administration’s gun control agenda while itself buying ammunition in huge quantities.

As we reported last month, the federal agency is testing a number of different drones at a scientific research facility in Oklahoma that have sensors capable of detecting whether a person is armed, stoking concerns that the federal agency is planning on using UAVs to harass gun owners.

The DHS is also collaborating with New York State government officials to confiscate guns belonging to people who are deemed, often erroneously, to have a mental condition.

The DHS’ commitment to buy around 2 billion rounds of ammunition has become a huge controversy in recent months, with the Government Accountability Office announcing this week that an investigation of the purchases is “just getting underway.”
