Mitsubishi corporation is to split the metal sales department and set the new company in Singapore on 4/1/2013. The metal department made 40% of the entire profit of the company from 4. 2011 to 3. 2012. They state it is because Singapore is more advantaged to obtain the market information. The bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, LTD is going to set up the South East Asian headquarters in Singapore by this June. This is the largest bank in Japan, the total value of the assets is the 5th largest in the world.
The current managing director will be assigned to be the general manager.
They state the economical growth rate of South East Asia is internationally outstanding. Japanese companies are moving to this area increasingly. It is important for them to be able to support those companies more efficiently.
