In spite of a slew of racially charged threats circulating across the internet, police officials say they do not expect any rioting to occur on the night of the election, no matter what the result.

“We’re not anticipating civil unrest on Election Night,” a spokesman for the Detroit police department told The Hill.

“We’re going to collect the ballots like we usually do. If a situation arises and we need to respond, we’ll respond to the scene and assess.” he added.

Police officials in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Cleveland, Columbus, Miami, Houston and Los Angeles also claimed they are not preparing for any form of civil unrest, according to the report.

Infowars broke the story Monday that innumerable Obama supporters were making it known they intended to provoke violence and mayhem if their candidate loses, aggrieved at fears that Mitt Romney will take away government handouts.

The threats became more sustained and aggressive on Tuesday, and Since last night’s debate, they have exploded in number.

While civil rights organisations, such as the NAACP say they believe there may be nonviolent demonstrations, they too have dismissed the possibility of large scale rioting.

“The American people are more thoughtful than these I think somewhat specious predictions of disruption would seem to suggest,” said Wade Henderson, president and CEO of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.

“This is not the 2008 election; an African-American is currently the president. I think people expect that when citizens cast their vote, those votes will be counted fairly.” he added.

While the police may not be gearing up for civil unrest, it is clear that the Feds have been stocking up on riot gear and vast stocks of ammo for some time now.

In July, the Department of Homeland Security issued an urgent solicitation for hundreds of items of “riot gear,” in preparation for expected unrest at the Republican National Convention, Democratic National Convention and next year’s presidential inauguration.

The report in The Hill mentions the accusations of “race baiting” made against Infowars and The Drudge Report by Obama front group “Think Progress” yesterday.

The “progressive” website completely ignored the bare facts that a deluge of Obama supporters have threatened riot, and even to assassinate Romney should he win, instead claiming that Drudge was encouraging “conspiracy theories” about black people preparing to riot by posting the Infowars reports on the story.

We’re Certainly At A Flashing Yellow Alert On Hyperinflation

David Zeiler: Too few understand just how disruptive hyperinflation in America would be. Truth is, it would be a nightmare.

In an episode of hyperinflation, money loses value so rapidly that people spend it as quickly as possible, which only feeds the cycle of pushing prices higher and higher at a faster and faster rate.

Imagine prices at the food store and gas pump not just going up a few cents at a time, but doubling in a matter of months, weeks, or even days.

And now some economists and market experts think many of the ingredients for hyperinflation are brewing in America.

That’s because years of profligate U.S. government borrowing and spending have created trillions of dollars that lurk in the reserves of foreign countries and major financial institutions. The situation escalated after the 2008 financial crisis, with the U.S. Federal Reserve‘s policies of “quantitative easing” creating even more money.

“The U.S. government and the Federal Reserve have committed the system to its ultimate insolvency, through the easy politics of a bottomless pocketbook, the servicing of big-moneyed special interests, gross mismanagement, and a deliberate and ongoing effort to debase the U.S. currency,” said John Williams of Shadow Government Statistics in his annual report on hyperinflation.

Quantitative Easing Has Been Devastating For American Households

John Mauldin recently pointed his readers to Hoisington Investment Management’s recently released Q3 Quarterly Review and Outlook.

Authored by Van Hoisington and Lacy Hunt, the two go after the Federal Reserve’s easy monetary policies and they view QE3 as “a tacit admission by the Fed that earlier efforts failed.”

Not only have they failed to boost the economy, they’ve also caused “devastation for households.”

The chart below, included in their report, shows that QEs have been accompanied by increased inflation, which erodes household wealth.

Journalists, politicians and economists all seem to agree that the biggest economic issue currently worrying voters is unemployment. It follows then that most believe that the deciding factor in the presidential race will be the ability of each candidate to convince the public that his policies will create jobs. It seems that everyone got this memo…except the voters.

According to the results of a Fox News poll released last week (a random telephone sample of more than 1,200 registered voters), 41% identified “inflation” as “the biggest economic problem they faced.” This is nearly double the 24% that named “unemployment” as their chief concern. For further comparison, 19% identified “taxes” and 7% “the housing market” as their primary concern. A full 44% of women, who often do more of the household shopping and would therefore be more sensitive to prices changes, identified rising prices as their primary concern.

U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said a little currency appreciation in the developing world is not a bad thing.

Speaking at the International Monetary Fund meeting in Tokyo this weekend, Bernanke urged Third World nations to allow their currency to appreciate as a means of actually preventing inflation.

“The perceived benefits of currency management inevitably come with costs, including reduced monetary independence and the consequent susceptibility to imported inflation,” Bernanke said.

Milk Seen Surging 15% on Drought-Feed Costs Before Demand Slows

Retail-milk prices will rise as much as 15 percent by the first quarter of 2013 after the worst U.S. drought since 1956 sent livestock-feed costs to a record, according to Dairy Management Inc., an industry group.

“Since the drought started, the milk price has gone up quite a bit,” Dairy Management Chief Executive Officer Tom Gallagher said Monday during an interview in Chicago. “Prices are going to go up worldwide.”

Obama supporters voice desire to kill Romney over fears food stamps will be taken away

Despite numerous media outlets attempting to downplay the issue, Twitter exploded last night following the debate with new threats from Obama supporters to assassinate Mitt Romney if he defeats Obama in the presidential race.

As we reported yesterday, in addition to threats by Obama supporters to riot if Romney wins, innumerable Twitter users are also making direct death threats against Romney.

The primary reason given for Obama supporters wanting to see Romney dead is the fear that he will take away food stamps.

If the tables were turned and conservatives were making death threats against Obama in these numbers, it would be a national news story. Indeed, the mere act of hanging empty chairs from trees as a reference to Clint Eastwood’s RNC speech was hyped by the media as a deadly sign that conservatives were out to lynch black people if Obama won.

However, the major networks have remained completely silent on the disturbing trend of Obama supporters threatening to resort to violence if their candidate fails to secure a second term.

Twitchy has compiled a laundry list of assassination threats by Obama supporters made during and after the debate, and more continued to flood in this morning, including the following;

The death threats are being made by both black and white people, emphasizing that merely drawing attention to the issue has nothing to do with “race-baiting,” as the Obama front group Think Progress claimed yesterday.

It is important to stress that these Twitter accounts are genuine, they are not fakes. Many of them have thousands of previous tweets.
