White House and DC Police tight lipped over handling of fatal car chase the resulted in the shooting of the unarmed woman ( later identified as Miriam Carey from Connecticut ) ...... family members of Miriam Carey speak out to the media and give their perspective on the situation and call for answers as to why the unarmed woman was shot to death - and did the police know there was a young child in the car before unloading their guns ? And who is the mystery man who sometime accompanied Miriam - the one in the Porche Cayenne - not her boyfriend , clearly not close to the family ?

This is hard to explain......Witness Patty Bills says she saw law enforcement pull child from car - and once the child was pulled from the car , that was when the gun fire really let loose !

Did the ongoing Drill factor in what might be viewed as an overreaction  and shooting of an unarmed woman ?

Capitol Car Chase And Shooting Happens The Same Day As Major First Responder Drill In DC Area

October 3, 2013

Washington DC was temporarily placed on police lockdown following a bizarre incident where a woman was said to have rammed a security barricade near the White House. After ramming the security barricade the woman who had a young child with her was pursued by several Capitol Police cruisers and brutally shot to death by the cops. The incident resulted in an immediate police lockdown of the area with a bunch of government goons roaming around the area with weapons. The corporate media even jumped over the story providing continuous coverage while presenting the incident as a possible terror attack. Although additional details are bound to come out shedding more light on this situation, new reports have revealed that the woman was unarmed. This raises serious questions about the actions of the Capitol Police not to mention the blatant media sensationalism surrounding this event.

What this shows more than anything is that America has gone completely insane. This was unquestionably a convenient excuse for the government to show off a large scale militarized police presence. If a militarized police lockdown is required to counter the threat of a single unarmed woman with a baby ramming a barricade, than it is obvious these people will be totally screwed if they are faced with a real threat.
What’s really sick about this is that both phony political parties in the U.S. House of Representatives expressed their gratitude to the Capitol Police for their actions with a standing ovation. So here we see the entire legislative body cheering the Capitol Police gunning down an unarmed woman. This proves that these people are nuts. This is not something that deserves approval let alone a standing ovation. If these people had any sort of credibility they would be calling for an investigation into the Capitol Police as to why they needed to shoot an unarmed woman in this manner. Unfortunately in this so-called post 9/11 era this type of thuggish police action is par for the course and endorsed by lawmakers and other idiot goons in the federal government.
Of course we should also ask if this event is real or staged. The government and the media have lied about so many of these different incidents that it is impossible to accept any official story at face value. One interesting item of note is that this event coincided with a government sanctioned drill called Capital Shield 14 that was happening in the DC area today. Historically we have seen several media sensationalized events and assorted government run terror operations that have occurred on the same day as similar types of drills and exercises. The Boston Marathon bombing that happened just this past April is one recent example but other events like the 9/11 attacks and the 7/7 London subway bombings also fit into this category. Whenever something like this happens it raises serious questions as to the true nature of the actual event because drills are often used as cover for real government financed terrorist and psychological warfare operations.

Below is a description of the Capital Shield 14 drill as described on the U.S. Army’s web site.

Capital Shield 2014 is a joint training exercise in the National Capital Region, or NCR, that runs from Sept. 30 thru Oct. 3, and is hosted by the Joint Force Headquarters - National Capital Region. It brings federal, state, local and municipal agencies together to realistically test interagency operability during a crisis impacting the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland. It also trains and prepares the Department of Defense to provide defense support to civil authorities and employ appropriate force protection measures as requested.

The web site goes on to describe how over 38 government agencies were participating in the exercise.
More than 38 participating agencies from DOD and capital region response agencies performed mock mass casualty rescues, defense support to civil agency technical rescues and law enforcement tactical responses. The goal of the exercise is to ensure government agencies at every level are prepared to coordinate action to protect the public in the event of an actual disaster in the National Capital Region..

It is of great concern that such a large drill involving first responders was taking place at around the same time in the same area as this bizarre event. The fact that it quickly became the number one national news story in America is also troubling. Even more so when one considers the documented track record of governments staging events for political gain. What’s really funny about this is that the government still has the resources to run this huge drill at the same time they claim the government is subject to a shutdown. Apparently they have the resources to run a massive drill for several days but just can’t seem to find a way to keep the national parks open. Talk about a joke.

It is still early but regardless of what you believe about this situation there are many questions. If this was in fact real, why did Capitol Police decide it was necessary to gun down an unarmed woman? If the event was real or staged, what was the significance of this Capital Shield 14 drill in relation to what we are being told in the media? Despite all of this, it is a virtual guarantee that this will be used for political gain and to spread more fear propaganda in the media. This is yet another attempt to get people to love and worship the out of control militarized police state.

White House and DC police tight-lipped over handling of fatal car chase

Police and the Obama administration remained tight-lipped on Friday over the handling of a car chase in Washington DC that ended when officers shot dead an unarmed woman in front of her one-year-old daughter.
Officials from the agencies involved in the incident declined to provide any explanation of their officers' actions, beyond praising them in glowing terms.
Officers from the secret service and Capitol police attempted to detain Miriam Carey, 34, after her car tried to breach a perimeter barrier close to the White House.
Video footage showed police appearing to corner her car before Carey managed to get away. Police gave chase and shot her dead around 1.7 miles from where the incident began. Carey's daughter was in the car at the time.
The White House refused to comment on the police's response to the incident. Spokesman Jay Carney refused to answer when asked how the secret service had handled the situation. Calls to the secret service's public information officer went unreturned.
The Washington Metropolitan Police department, which is leading the investigation, would not say whether officers involved in Carey's death had been suspended.
"I do not have that information. Those officers belong to different agencies. You'd have to reach out to them," MPD spokeswoman Saray Leon told the Guardian.
A spokesman for US Capitol police would not say whether it had suspended the officers responsible for Carey's death. "I can't say much about it right now because it is an ongoing investigation," the spokesman said. He said the Guardian should contact the MPD.
Police were hailed as "heroic" after thwarting the car chase. Congress afforded the officers a standing ovation as members lined up to praise their dedication and bravery. But it was unclear why police had shot the woman dead.
Leon said she could not confirm how many officers had fired their weapons, or how many rounds were discharged. "That's part of the investigation at this time, and we're not giving that information because it's ongoing," she said.
Washington Metropolitan Police chief Cathy Lanier told reporters on Thursday that the driver of the black Nissan had been killed.
"The suspect in the vehicle was struck by gunfire and has been pronounced dead," Lanier said.
"The United States secret service and Capitol police officers, from what I have seen so far in this investigation, acted heroically."
Two officers were injured, one from Capitol police and one from the secret service. One was reportedly hit by Carey's vehicle; the other crashed his police car into a barrier.
The chase began at around 2:15pm, when Carey's car attempted to pass a temporary barrier at 15th and E Streets, about half a mile from the Capitol. Secret service chief Ed Donovan said an officer was injured there, while others chased the woman along Pennsylvania Avenue towards the Capitol. They did not open fire.
Capitol police officers also gave chase, according to Lanier, and a number of police vehicles cornered Carey's car at Garfield Circle, in front of the Capitol Lawn. An officer was injured there after crashing his car.
Video footage filmed from the Capitol showed five law enforcement officials, guns drawn, approaching Carey's black Nissan Infiniti. The officers were within touching distance of the car, but the video showed the car reverse and drive off, making contact with a law enforcement vehicle on the way.
As Carey drove away, seven gunshots were heard. Police caught up with her about 300m away from the Capitol and shot her multiple times. Capitol police chief Kim Dine said "one of our officers rescued the child" after Carey had been killed. The one-year-old was taken to hospital.
The police gunfire caused a "shelter in place" notice to be called in the Capitol, with politicians forced to remain in the building. Tourists outside the building were ordered to the ground.
When the House of Representatives came to order after the lockdown ceased, House minority whip Steny Hoyer addressed his colleagues:
At the outset I know that I join the majority leader in expressing our gratitude to the Capitol police," Hoyer said. There followed a 30 second standing ovation.
I know that that round of applause was heartfelt and deeply meant."
Law enforcement agencies appear to have begun briefing that Carey was mentally ill.
Within hours of her death, congressman Mike McCaul, the chairman of House homeland security committee, said he had been told by the FBI and secret service that investigators "think [Carey] had mental health issues". McCaul's comments were made to CNN just after 6:15pm – almost exactly four hours after the initial confrontation.
Carey's mother told ABC News that she had suffered from post-natal depression, but the incident shocked those who knew the 34-year-old.
"That's impossible. She works, she holds a job," Carey's sister, Amy Carey, told the Washington Post.
"She wouldn't be in DC. She was just in Connecticut two days ago. I spoke to her."
Donald Knowles, a friend, told CBS "she was all smiles" when he saw Carey a few days before she was killed, "like she didn't have a care in the world."
Barry Weiss, a dentist who employed Carey as an assistant, said he fired her in August 2012 after patients complained that she was rough, but remembered her as "an average employee".
"She started out pleasant. There were a few instances of her being headstrong but generally she was an average employee," he told NBC Connecticut. "She did her job and left at the end of the day."
Weiss said he was stunned when he was called by the FBI and the secret service on Thursday.
"Nothing would have led us to think she would have done this," he said.

Sisters of woman shot dead on Capitol Hill call her 'troubled soul' and that she didn't deserve to die the way she did

Self-described ‘Prophet of Stamford’ Miriam Carey, 34, of Stamford, Conn., reportedly believed the President electronically monitored her condo to broadcast her life on TV. Carey, said to have suffered from postpartum depression, had drugs used to treat psychotic illnesses such as schizophrenia in her apartment, authorities said.

The family of Miriam Carey — with sisters Valerie and Amy (center) — speaks to the press outside their Brooklyn home a day after Carey was shot dead in Washington, D.C., after a car chase.

The heartbroken sisters of the Connecticut mother killed by Capitol cops after a wild car chase through Washington said Friday she was a troubled soul — not a “terrorist.”

Miriam Carey had her 19-month-old daughter, Erica, in the car when police shot her and “didn’t deserve to die like she did,” Valarie Carey, who lives in Brooklyn, told the Daily News.

“Deadly force was not necessary,” said the grieving sister, a retired NYPD transit police sergeant who lives in Bushwick. “They could have rammed the car or disabled the car.”
“There had to be something else they could have done,” chimed in Amy Carey, a registered nurse who lives in Bedford-Stuyvesant. “She didn’t have to die. To know a child was in the car, too, why did they shoot?”

The sisters confirmed that Carey, a 34-year-old dental hygienist, suffered from postpartum depression and psychosis and that she had been prescribed medication for depression.
“But that doesn’t mean she’s crazy or that she deserved to have been killed,” Valarie Carey said.

Carey and Erica were supposed to visit them in Brooklyn this weekend, the sisters said. But they could not explain why Carey rammed into a White House checkpoint on Thursday and then led police on a lethal car chase through Washington.
“Only Miriam knows exactly why she was in D.C.,” Valarie Carey said. “Unfortunately, my sister is not here to speak for herself. People are dragging her through the mud.”

Family lawyer Eric Sanders said, “There shouldn’t be a rush to judgment.”
“A mother is dead and whether the police actions were appropriate must still be determined,” he said.

The Carey sisters spoke out after they identified their sister’s body at the morgue — and amid reports that the doomed woman believed she was the “Prophet of Stamford” and that President Obama was bugging her Stamford condominium.

Carey was so delusional that her boyfriend, Eric Francis, 54, sicced the cops on her twice in 2012, ABC News reported.
But the sisters said all that was news to them.

Miriam Carey 'didn’t deserve to die like she did,' Valerie Carey told the Daily News.

“My sister was a beautiful person,” Valarie Carey said. “She had aspirations to be a dentist. She was a loving mother with a lot to live for. I don’t want my sister demonized.”
Family friend Dennis Jones also questioned whether police used appropriate protocol when they took action that left a child “motherless.”

Brooklyn neighbors said the disturbed mom frequently visited and always wore hospital scrubs, even though she got fired from her job last year.

The chaos erupted as the Capitol was in the grip of a partial government shutdown — and as the House was in the midst of a heated debate over how to end the impasse.
It sent a fresh shudder through Washington, where two weeks earlier a shotgun-toting Navy contractor went on a deadly rampage through the Navy Yard and killed a dozen people before he was killed.

CNN reported that they also took medication used to treat psychotic illnesses such as schizophrenia and found a letter to Carey’s boyfriend that contained a suspicious white power. The substance was being tested.
Local police chief Jon Fontneau said Stamford cops were called to her apartment in December, although he declined to provide any details other than to say it was not a criminal investigation.

“It is a two-bedroom apartment, first-floor level,” he said. “It looked like your basic ... apartment. Nothing out of the ordinary. She was nothing out of the ordinary that would call attention to herself.”
Erin Jackson, who lived next-door to Carey for four years, said she seemed “like a good mom” and was often seen in the company of a man she believed to be the father.
“The only time I saw her emote negatively was when her tires were stolen this summer,” Jackson, 31, said. “I was walking out, going to work, and she said, ‘Can you believe what they did? They took my tires.’”
Carey “tended to go against the grain a bit” and lost her job as a dental hygienist, said her former boss, Dr. Brian Evans. He also said she suffered a “pretty significant head injury” as a result of a fall toward the end of the nearly two years she worked for him.
But Evans said she gave no sign that the injury had affected her mind.
A recent court case hinted Carey may have fallen on hard times.
The condo association of the building where she lived, Woodside Green Association, sued her in December for more than $2,000 in unpaid fees. The matter was settled Feb. 1.
