Suspect Charged With ‘Intentionally’ Infecting Hundreds Of Gay Men With HIV

The NYPD is looking for a fugitive they say has embarked on a terrifying campaign to “infect as many people as possible” with the HIV virus, and they caution that his victims could run into the hundreds.

Isaac Don Burks, 31, has been indicted on eight counts of criminal transmission of HIV, prosecutors announced Friday, and warned that Burks targets people via popular gay websites and networking apps, such as Adam4Adam, Grindr, Jackd, and BGCLive.
Burks, a black gay man from West New York, NJ, just outside Manhattan, who police say may have started his “mission to infect as many people as possible” with HIV as far back as ten years ago, was described as “sick in the head” by one alleged victim, who notes that Burks alluded to having possibly infected as many as 300 victims. The victrim, who did not wish to be publicly identified, recalls that Burks has been on a “downward spiral” since the death of his mother, and plies his prey with drugs and alcolhol, to “bring their guard down.”
NYC Health Department spokeswoman Kate Caraway urged Burks’ potential victims to get tested for HIV. ”This is the first time we’ve seen someone deliberately trying to spread HIV to so many,” she emphasized, adding that the total number of Burks’ actual victims may never be known. Black gay service groups have long advised users of “hook-up” sites and apps to exercise caution when engaging in sexual activity with those they meet via such media, as with any new person they encounter.
The NYPD’s dragnet for Burks has now been extended to all five boroughs.

A former professional wrestler who went by the name “Gangsta of Love” and “Sweet Sexy Sensation” has been sentenced to 32 – years in prison for having s*x with women without telling them that he’d tested positive for the virus that causes AIDS. Andre Davis, a 29-year old man, was sentenced on 14 counts of felonious assault in the case, after it was determined that at least a dozen of his partners were not made aware of his status.
Davis claims that he is a s*x addict and that his addiction was also driven by losing his dream of becoming a pro wrestler after testing positive for HIV.
“Drugs and alcohol are terrible, but s*x is something everybody wants,” he said.
“I am not a monster,” he said.
Davis tells the world that he is not a monster, but he certainly acted like one. His decision to be so terribly irresponsible with his body has ruined countless lives and made our society a little less safe for us all. What’s most frightening about this “monster” is that there are thousands of other monsters in our society, some of whom have no idea that they are walking bio-weapons of mass destruction.
Quite a few men, especially those who are athletes, entertainers, ballers, etc, have been taught by media to pride themselves on how many women they can sleep with. When our kids are bombarbed with lyrics like “I wish I could F*ck every girl in the world,” (thanks to Lil Wayne), they are filled with a warped sense of masculinity that teaches them that you are to take s*x from any attractive woman who offers it. If women are attracted to you, your rolodex is never too full for the beautiful woman you met at the party, and that includes many men who are married.
For good-looking brothers like Davis, there is no end to the supply of women willing to hop in bed with them after the third or fourth date. These women are not “hoes,” rather, they are normal, educated, church-going, corporate black women with high-paying jobs and normal lives. Many women become so hypnotized by the amount of “swag” that the man has, how well he dresses, what he’s driving or how good he looks, that they don’t take the time to find out if he might send her to the morgue.
Men like Davis are rarely scrutinized for anything other than his smooth words and winning smile. What’s worse is that too many people forget that HIV is just one of many sexually-transmitted diseases that your dream man could be bringing into your life. Beyond the HIV explosion in the black community is an equally-violent release of herpes, clamydia, gonorrhea, HPV and all the other frightening STDs that go “bump” in your v****a.
Most of us know men who’ve had a lot of s*x with a lot of women and haven’t been to the doctor in years. For some, s*x is the perpetual hunger that can never be fully-satiated. While most women grow up accustomed to regular doctor’s visits for pap smears and other routine check-ups, many men do not. Therefore, Davis is actually unique in that he even knew his HIV status in the first place. Given that he lost his job as a wrestler because of his status, chances are that he wa forced to take a test that he would not have gotten otherwise. How many other Andre Davis-like men are there out there who never took the test and will never be prosecuted for spreading HIV because they had no idea of their status?
So, perhaps an honest reflection on our s****l decisions might be called for in the strange times in which we live. Is Andre Davis a monster? I’m not sure. What is most frightening is that he might not be a monster, abnormality or uniquely malevolent human being – he might actually just be a regular guy. I’m sure Davis has quite a few friends just like him.
