Breaking news of a mass shooting at the Azana Salon and Spa at the Brookfield Square Mall. Details still scarce but at least 4 people reported wounded and 3 more patients expected, emergency responders are on the ground, and the mall has been put on lockdown. The shooting suspect, who is said to have used a machine gun, is still at large. Updates via @USEmergAlerts:

  At least seven people were hospitalized after a shooting near a mall in Brookfield, Wis., on Sunday, according to local news reports.

  The shooting occurred at around 11:00 a.m. local time, police say.

  WISN-TV reported a "mass shooting" at a salon across the street from the Brookfield Square Mall.

  Officials initially described a "mass casualty" situation, WISN said, and that the area is not secure, though to this point no fatalities have been confirmed. According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the mall has been placed on lockdown."

  A spokeswoman for the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department told The Associated Press that deputies are looking for an active shooter.

  According to WTMJ-TV, authorities are searching for "a 6'1", 270 lb. African-American with a bald head and brown eyes" who was reportedly driving a black 2003 Mazda.

  Fire and rescue officials responded to the scene, and a rescue helicopter landed in the mall's parking lot.
