REPORT: Dutch Airforce Scrambles To Intercept Possible Hijacked Plane

UPDATE:  BBC is reporting Dutch security forces have surrounded the plane.

Reuters is now reporting the plane has already landed at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.


The website NU.nl is reporting Dutch F-16s have been scrambled to intercept an allegedly hijacked plane that took off from Malaga, Spain.
The plane was bound for Amsterdam.

F16s intercepting device without radio contact

LONDON - A unit of the Spanish airline Vueling Wednesday intercepted by two F-16s of the Air Force and then guided landed at Schiphol.

The F-16s took off from Volkel airbase after no radio contact could be made with the pilots, as confirmed by the Ministry of Defence NU.nl.
It is an Airbus flight number VY 8366. Vueling owner denies opposite the ANP that there is a hijacking of the device.
The NIS reports that the National Coordinator for Counterterrorism (NCTB) confirms that there is a disaster. The NCTB takes into account "the possibility of a hostage." Therefore, the plane landed at Schiphol are under supervision.
A radio reporter from the NOS spoke with a man whose wife is loaded. He reports that in the device at this time 'fairly relaxed' on going. Nobody would have had something through a hostage.
NCTB confirms that there is no radio contact was with the pilot. "That has prompted us to think that something is wrong and therefore the plane escorted by two F-16s."
The fighters are in their journey towards the unit above the center of the country went through the sound barrier.

The Vueling Airline reported a mis-communication between the pilot and Schiphol control tower as the cause of the false report of a hostage situation and a hijacker aboard the flight.
